What up with Clawdeen Wolf?

k, so Hi! i have been looking into monster high OOAK (one of a kind) dolls & OCs (original character) & so i have been getting quite allot of news about monster high dolls. one thing i noticed was Clawdeen wolf a beloved character of MH is far rarer & more expensive than say Frankie stein, i thought this was odd to say the least but then earlier today i was on Direct.tesco.com looking for dolls, & guess what i found? Clawdeen DISCONTINUED! (for those who don't know, that means there not stocking her any more) does anyone know WHY she's discontinued? I've also heard rumers of other stores discontinuing Clawdeen. and it's also quite obvious that Clawdeen wolf is more expensive on some sites like ebay.com/.co.uk.
