Hi! I've Been Working HARD On Making This Post Looking For Pictures, Finding Out Info Reading Ughhh.. t's Been Tiring!! But I Have Come Out With A Pretty Decent Piece Of Umm... Blog? What Ever... Enjoy!

Shugo Chara!

Amu Hinamori (日奈森 亜夢, Hinamori Amu?), the series' protagonist, is a student of Seiyo Elementary. Amu's classmates see her as "cool and spicy", but Amu is actually extremely shy and timid. Part of the reason for this misunderstanding is the trendy punk goth clothing her mother buys for her as well as the way in which she expresses her shyness and avoids doing new things which people interpret as 'cool'. However, when Amu wishes for the courage to be reborn as her would-be self, three colorful eggs appear the next morning, which hatch into Amu's three Guardian Characters: Ran, Miki, and Su. When one of her Guardian Characters Character Changes with her, she gets embarrassed because they make her speak in ways that she thinks are "totally out of character".

Because of her three Guardian Characters, Amu became a member of the Guardians, the school's student counsel, although she refused to join at first. Amu's position with the Guardians is the Joker. Her task, as the Joker, is to search for and purify X Eggs and X Characters, the corrupted forms of people's would-be selves. Ran, Miki, and Su help Amu with her task through a process called a Character Transformation, which is enabled by the Humpty Lock and grants Amu special abilities depending on the Character Guardian. Later on, Amu also creates a fourth egg, known as Diamond.

Amu's two main love interests are Tadase Hotori, the King's Chair of the Guardians, and Ikuto Tsukiyomi, a boy in the employment of Easter. There are other boys that could be said have a slight interest in her as well; Kairi Sanjou, who confesses to Amu, Kukai Souma, and Nagihiko Fujisaki. Amu's primary rival is Utau Hoshina, an Idol singer for Easter who is jealous that Ikuto shows an interest in Amu instead of her. In the anime series, Amu is voiced by Kanae Itō.

Ran -
The first to come out from Amu's Eggs. An athletic and honest character. Her hair is tied in a side tail. She has a pink sun visor and a red themed cheerleader costume on, she wears a heart shaped hair clip. Dislikes silence.
During Chara Change, Amu gains increased athletic abilities. Little wings appear at her wrists and ankles, with that she can jump high and fly. Having a straight forward personality, Ran made Amu confess her crush to Tadase on their first Chara Change

Amu becomes "Amulet Heart" on Chara Become with Ran. The clover decoration of her Humpty Lock changes to pink color. Amu dons a pink themed cheerleader costume in this form. Her special move is "Spiral Heart" which is executed with the Heart Rod.

Miki -
Voiced by: Nanae Katō
A guardian chara with an artistic flair. A cool, quiet character. Her hairstyle is a short bob cut. She usually wears a pair of half-cut pants and a sky blue newsboy cap and blue themed costume. Theres a spade decoration on the cap. Poor in restraining herself. Miki has also shown an interest in both Tadase's Chara Kiseki and Ikuto's chara Yoru. She comments Yoru is cool and his tail is cute. This may imply the situation in Amu's heart.
The main ability after Chara Change is an increased artistic sense but that power is recklessly abused.

Amu becomes "Amulet Spade" on Chara Become with Miki. The clover decoration of her Humpty Lock changes to blue color. Amu wears a white frilly blouse with a pair of hot pants, she also wears long, striped stockings and a garter belt; all in a blue themed costume. Her special move is "Colorful Canvas", where she paints with a giant paintbrush. Miki says "Drew, Draw, Drawn" during a Chara Change with Amu.

Su (Suu) -
Voiced by: Aki Toyosaki
A guardian chara skilled in baking sweets and doing house work. A "my pace" character that is prone to silly mistakes. She has short hair with the sides grown long, curling inwards. She wears a scarf on her head with a clover shaped hair clip and dons a green theme maid costume. Dislikes caterpillars.
Amu gains an improvement in cooking during Chara Change. Magical abilities like summoning large amounts of whip cream is also observed. In addition her speech and behaviour becomes more lady-like.

Amu becomes "Amulet Clover" on Chara Become with Su. The clover decoration of her Humpty Lock changes to green color. She wears a green themed balloon skirt maid costume. Her special skill is "Remake Honey", a restoration type skill. Su says "Chip, Syrup, Whip" during a Chara Change with Amu.
Ran's, Miki's and Su's Chara Become all share another special skill, "Open Heart!". A skill that cleanse X Eggs and X Chara.

Dia -

X Dia -

Diamond is Amu's fourth Guardian Character. She becomes an X Egg when Amu dislikes all the changes that were happening, and hatches into an X Character after Utau finds her egg. Because of this, Amu doesn't know Diamond's true name. In the Japanese manga, Diamond's name is shorted to Dia. Diamond can Character Transforms with Utau, becoming Dark Jewel, however the transformation doesn't last for long. When Amu finally is able to purify Diamond, they undergo a Character Change, becoming Amulet Diamond. Afterward, Diamond returns to her egg until Amu "shines again"

.Guardians

Tadase Hotori -

Tadase Hotori (辺里 唯世, Hotori Tadase?) is a boy in the same year as Amu and serves as King's Chair of the Guardians. Amu's develops a crush on Tadase soon after she transfers into the school. However, whenever he hears the word "prince", his Character Changes into an egotistical king who seeks world domination. Like Amu, he is actually a shy person and is not good at public speaking, instead he Character Changes with his Guardian Character, Kiseki. When a girl confesses their love to Tadase, he will have Kiseki reject her. His love interest is Amulet Heart, Amu's Character Transformation with Ran, but it later becomes Amu herself. Tadase has known Ikuto and Utau since childhood, but he does not talk about it in detail until the Guardians are about to face Utau. Tadase is voiced by Reiko Takagi in the anime television series.

Kieseki -

Kiseki (キセキ, Kiseki?)
Voiced by: Kaya Miyake
Kiseki is Tadase's Guardian Chara. He looks like a mini Tadase with different-colored hair. He is extremely egotistical, loves to dominate but also has tsundere characteristics. He is always trying to outshine Yoru. His bearing is that of typical "king's fashion", complete with crown and mantle. Kiseki also occasionally calls meetings that require all the Guardian Charas to gather. In volume one, Miki seems to have a crush on him, saying he is cool. Likes to give orders but does not like to obey. Suffers from pollen allergy like Tadase.
Kiseki can do Chara Change with Tadase. When this happens, Tadase gains a golden crown and king’s scepter. The only reason he usually character changes is to help Tadase become confident and if Tadase is called ‘prince’.
After the "Black Diamonds" incident, he became able to Chara Become with Tadase. Tadase becomes "Platina Royale" on Chara Become and used the special skill "White Decoration", a skill thought to be a restoration skill.

Kukai Soma -
(相馬 空海, Sōma Kūkai?)

Kukai Soma is the upbeat and energetic Jack's Chair of the Guardians. One year senior to Amu, Kukai helps Amu with her training as the Joker. Although he was the captain of the soccer club, Kukai loves and excels all sports. At the end of the school year, Kukai graduates and goes on to middle school. However, Kukai returns to visit the Guardians and lifts Amu's spirits when she becomes dishearten because her diamond Guardian Egg became and X Egg. In the anime television series, Kukai is voiced by Atsushi Abe.

Daichi -
(ダイチ, Daichi?)

Voiced by: Hiroyuki Yoshino
Kukai’s Guardian Character is Daichi. Daichi is very good at sports and can't seem to sit still. He was born when Kukai want to do many sports but had to choose. He wears a sweatband around his head, shorts, and a sporty T-shirt. When Daichi and Kukai do Character Change, Kukai becomes even more athletic and gains a star clip for his hair that looks like the same star on Daichi’s head band. Daichi was able to do Chara Become with Kukai once, resulting in "Sky Jack".

Nadeshiko Fujisaki -

(藤咲 なでしこ, Fujisaki Nadeshiko?)

Nadeshiko Fujisaki is a student in the same year as Amu and serves as Queen's Chair of the Guardians. When Amu rejected the offer to join the Guardians, Nadeshiko tries several tactics to convince Amu to join. The two becomes best friends and Nadeshiko looks over and supports Amu in her love life. However, before Amu and Nadeshiko enter the sixth grade, Nadeshiko leaves Seiyo Elementary for Europe to study dancing.

Nadeshiko is actually a boy named Nagihiko Fujisaki (藤咲 なぎひこ, Fujisaki Nagihiko?). It is tradition in the Fujisaki family for the males to be raised as females as part of their training so that they may play female roles in Japanese dance. The only people who knows Nagihiko's secret besides his family are Kukai, Tadase, and the school's principle, Tsukasa Amakawa. After Kairi leaves the Guardians, Nagihiko returns and is appointed as the interim Jack's Chair. In the anime television series, Nadeshiko is voiced by Saeko Chiba.

Temari -

(てまり, Temari?)
Voiced by: Ryōka Yuzuki
Temari is Nadeshiko's seemingly elegant Chara. She is considered to be very girly and is always complaining about getting her kimono dirty, which always ends up annoying Daichi. Her hair tied in a ponytail with hair decoration in the shape of sakura flowers. She is skilled in handling the naginata and dislikes getting muddy.
Temari has the ability to perform Chara Change with Nadeshiko. Nadeshiko then becomes battle hungry, often over little things like getting hit with a ball. Temari herself seems to have an anger problem. Says "ching, pan, shang" during Chara Change.

Nadeshiko she don't have a charater transform! but her character change....

poor kukai....

Yaya Yuiki -
(結木 やや, Yuiki Yaya)
Voiced by: Tomoko Nakamura

A childish and spoiled girl serving as the A-Chair (Ace Chair), she is one year junior to Amu. Yaya often acts too immature for her age, such as having an enormous sweet tooth, a great soft spot for items like ribbons as well as tending to be hyperactive. She is also a ballerina, though a rather clumsy one. She has a newborn baby brother named Tsubasa, who, she claims, gets all her parents' attention. It is because of this that her Guardian Character, Pepe, who is a baby, was born. Though she acts jealous around Tsubasa, Yaya does have a responsible side, once personally taking him to the doctor when he had a fever, as no other option was possible.
Her Character Change character is a baby that uses a giant rattle and a milk bottle as weapons; influenced by the "baby" character, she has a crybaby personality. Pepe says "Pretty, Cutie, Love Baby!" during a Character Change with Yaya. She was later able to do a Character Transformation called "Dear Baby," though there is a confusion and some thinks its "Day Baby". But due to her lack of maturity, often receives the end of her attacks.

PepePepe
(ぺぺ, Pepe)

Voiced by: Kimiko Koyama
Pepe is a baby-like Guardian Chara that belongs to Yaya. She always has a pacifier in her mouth, wears a full body baby outfit, and wears her hair in pigtails. When either she or Yaya get hurt or something goes wrong, both of them will begin to whine and cry in unison. Pepe could be described as a crybaby.

When she and Yaya perform Chara Change, Yaya receives a baby bib and a giant rattle that she uses to squash or hit opponents with. Says "pretty, cutey, love baby" during Chara Change.

Rima -
Talieez_RoseRo
Rima Mashiro (真城 りま, Mashiro Rima?) Voiced by: Sayuri Yahagi
Rima Mashiro replaced Nadeshiko new Queen's Chair. Although Rima is the same age as Amu, she is extremely petite and has relatively poor athletic ability. Most of the boys in her class admire her because of her beauty and passive personality, while the girls are annoyed by her because of her selfishness.
Because of a kidnapping incident that happened before she transferred to Seiyo, her parents pick her up after school, but since it interferes with their work schedules, they often argue about who cares more for Rima over work, resulting in Rima often having no one but Kusukusu as company for her secret interest in gag comedy.
Later, she opens up to Amu and becomes friends with her. In Chapter 30, Rima is jealous of Nagihiko while seeing him and Amu converse with each other.

KusuKusu - Talieez_RoseRo
Kusukusu (クスクス, Kusukusu?) Voiced by: Sayaka Narita
Kusukusu is Rima's Guardian Character and represents Rima's desire to make others laugh. On Character Change, Rima becomes a gag character (which she is embarrassed to use) and uses a signature phrase "Bala-Balance" (Balancing Balance) from the magazine Gag Manga King (ギャグマンガ大王, Gyagu Manga Daiō?). During Character Transformation, Rima becomes Clown Drop.

clown drop

Kairi Sanjo (三条 海里, Sanjō Kairi?) Voiced by: Mitsuki Saiga
The spectacled boy who served as the new J-Chair. He is tall (as seen in a character sheet, taller than Tadase), but actually he is two years junior to Amu. Like Rima, he is the total opposite in personality from his predecessor, Kukai Soma. Unlike the spontaneous Kukai, Kairi is uptight, extremely organized, and blunt about faults. Even with these traits, he is so capable Amu and Yaya call him "class president" or "class prez" in the anime.
He is actually Yukari Sanjo's younger brother sent to spy on the Guardians. This wasn't his own choice though, since Yukari immediately begged him to transfer to Seiyo upon discovering that he had a Guardian Character. Since his sister is mostly busy at work, Kairi takes care of the household work (and his sister) in her apartment. However, when he saw the true meaning of his "missions," he tries to rebel against Yukari, but not before he reveals his secret to the guardians when they accidentally discover him with Pleading CDs. He switches sides, after Amu convinces him he is a good person, and at the same time discovers his ability to Character Transform with Musashi into "Samurai Soul." At the end of chapter 26 he leaves saying that he promised his parents and local classmates that he would return, but not before declaring his love for Amu saying that he shall return for her when he has become a man. He also declared a rivalry toward Tadase.

Musashi (ムサシ, Musashi?) Voiced by: Nobuhiko Okamoto
Kairi's Character. When he Character Transforms with Kairi they become Samurai Soul.

Easter people (enemies)

Ikuto Tsukiyomi
Ikuto Tsukiyomi (月詠 幾斗, Tsukiyomi Ikuto?) is a high school student contracted by Easter to find the Embryo. He often helps Amu even though he works for Easter. Ikuto actually despises Easter and tries to wrench himself free from them by trying to find the Embryo to grant his own wish. Ikuto has developed feelings for Amu and possesses the  Dumpty Key which pairs with Amu's Humpty Lock, but currently, it doesn't fit in the keyhole. Like his father, Ikuto is a skilled violinist. The Dumpty Key used to belong to his father's, until it ended up in the Hotori family's hands, to Tadase. His mother, upon marrying someone else after they found her husband's violin in a foreign country and believing that he would not come back, basically bound her children to working for Easter. Whenever his younger sister tried to kiss him or otherwise, he usually tried to deflect it, because Utau was in love with him even though they were siblings. Ikuto's personality is pretty outgoing and a little naughty. He likes teasing people, especially Amu and Tadase. In the manga timeline, it is shown he Character Transformed with a new black Guardian Egg to become Death Rebel, according to Easter's brainwashing plans.

Having feelings for Amu, in chapter 28, she asks Ikuto if he has anyone he likes, since he was going to be a senior in high school. Ikuto replies, "It's you." but Amu takes it as a joke. In the anime television series, Ikuto is voiced by Yuichi Nakamura

YoruYoru (ヨル, Yoru?)
Voiced by: Miyuki Sawashiro
Ikuto's Guardian Chara, Yoru, has cat-like features. He wears a pair of paw gloves and boots and dresses in punk fashion style. Yoru has a freedom loving stray cat image and often wanders around wherever he pleases without staying with Ikuto. Yoru loves to tease and annoy Kiseki, who in turn tries to do things only Yoru can do, like climb on buildings and railings. He also seems to be Scared of dogs.
When Yoru and Ikuto perform Chara Change, Ikuto grows cat ears and a tail. In Chara Become, Ikuto wears a spend-like outfit, has cat ears and a tail, and uses a glove with metal claws. In volume two, Miki seems to like Yoru as well as Kiseki. She, though, has more complements showing she has more of a crush on Yoru than Kiseki.

Utau Hoshina
Utau Hoshina (ほしな 歌唄, Hoshina Utau?) is a 14-year-old junior high student model turned singing idol. She is actually Ikuto's younger sister, Utau Tsukiyomi (月詠 歌唄, Tsukiyomi Utau?). Utau had tried to find the Embryo to release her brother from Easter, but she never succeeded. Utau is very attracted to Ikuto and becomes extremely jealous of Amu because Ikuto shows an interest in her. However, she eventually accepts Amu and admits that Amu would be best for him.
She was the vocalist of the indie band Black Diamond which is produced by her manager, Yukari Sanjo, as a method of using the CDs of their music to draw the eggs out of children and make them into X Eggs. When the plan fell apart, Utau quit Easter with her manager and became a singer on her own, without Easter contracting her. Utau is voiced by Nana Mizuki in the anime television series.

Iru (イル, Iru?)
Iru is Utau's first Guardian Chara. She has short, dark hair and devil wings, tail, and horns. She wears a two piece skirt and top that seem to come on as if they were bats. Mean, unkind and dislikes nagging. When she and Utau perform Chara Become, Utau sprouts bat wings and many wing shaped accessories. Her special move in "Lunatic Charm" form is "Nightmare Lorelei".

Eru (エル, Eru?)
Eru is Utau’s second Guardian Chara. Has an angel appearance. She does not want to do Chara Become with Utau (her Chara Become with Amu is her first). Eru is gentle hearted and seemed to be treated badly. Eru left home and is now in the care of Amu. She uses english words like "wait" and "shut up" in her speech. Likes to nag, dislikes meaness and unkindness. later when she comes back to Utau she & Eru transform, they become 'Saraphic Charm'

Utau Eru performed Becoming Character with Amu once, resulting in "Amulet Angel", which surprised Utau. The clover decoration of her Humpty Lock changes to white colour. Her special move is "White Flag" (looooooollll). As Amu is not the real owner as the Chara Become quickly dissolves after it forms

Fruits Basket
Fruits Basket (フルーツバスケット Furūtsu Basuketto?), sometimes abbreviated Furuba (フルバ?), is a shōjo manga series by Natsuki Takaya. It was serialized in the semi-monthly Japanese magazine Hana to Yume, published by Hakusensha, from 1999 to 2006. The series was also adapted into a 26-episode anime series, directed by Akitaro Daichi. The series tells the story of Tohru Honda, an orphan girl who, after meeting YukiKyo, and Shigure Sohma, learns that thirteen members of the Sohma family are possessed by the animals of theChinese zodiac (十二支 Jūnishi?) and are cursed to turn into their animal forms when they are weak or when they are embraced by anyone of the opposite sex that is not possessed by a zodiacal spirit. In the anime it is possible to transform through torso contact.
The word "Fruits" in the title is always plural; the spelling originates from the transcription of the English word "fruit" into Japanese, where because there is no "tu" sound, "tsu" is used instead. The title comes from the name of a popular game played in Japanese elementary schools, which is alluded to in the series.

[edit]Plot

When high school student Tohru Honda's mother died in a car accident, Tohru begins living in a tent and supporting herself. That is, until she finds a home in the least likely of places, inhabited by her classmate Yuki Sohma and his cousins Shigure and Kyo. The Sohmas however, live with a curse. Thirteen members of the family are possessed by spirits of the Chinese zodiac and turn into their zodiac animal when hugged by the opposite gender, are weak, or when under stress. When Tohru discovers the Sohmas' secret, she promises not to tell and is allowed to keep living with them. The Sohma's curse, however, is deeper and darker than Tohru realized, but her presence soon becomes a large, positive influence on those possessed by the zodiac. She sets out to break the curse, and on the way, meets and discovers each of the Sohma's vengeful zodiac spirits. Each has a different personality, just like the animals in the Chinese Zodiac. Tohru's existence changes the Sohma clan's lives forever...

[edit]Differences between manga and anime

Most of the anime episodes closely follow events in corresponding manga chapters, roughly up until the seventh and eighth volume of the manga.[1] As the manga was still ongoing during the anime's production, the animated series makes some changes to the story. Several events are combined, and some events, such as Tohru's first meeting with Momiji and all references to Tohru's baseball hat, never happen. Many of the events surrounding the revealing of Kyo's true form are greatly changed in the anime, including adding an extended chase sequence, Tohru meeting Akito in the woods, her meeting with Hanajima and Uotani at her mother's grave, and Yuki having also chased after Kyo,[2] none of which happen in the manga.[3]
While the anime faithfully adapts most of the characters in the manga series, it does make some changes. In the manga, Momiji is half-German and half-Japanese and regularly speaks German, particularly when he first meets Tohru, while in the anime his bi-racial status is never mentioned and no German is spoken.[4] Shigure's darker side is toned down in the anime, with many remarks he makes in the manga that hint at a hidden agenda are left out, along with most of his early scenes with Akito.[4] In the anime, Akito is biologically male and will die at a young age because of the curse,[5] while in the manga, Akito is biologically female but brought up as male and is not dying.[6] Additionally, Isuzu "Rin" Sohma, the horse, and Kureno Sohma, the rooster, are never mentioned or showed in the anime and are only in the manga.

[edit]Main characters

Tohru Honda (本田 透 Honda Tōru?)
A kind hearted orphaned high school student who, at the start of the story, begins living in a tent. She is then found by Shigure and Yuki, who offer to take her in for exchange in housekeeping. She loves to cook and describes herself as an excellent housekeeper. She also has an after-school job as a janitor to pay her tuition fees to avoid being a burden on her grandfather.[7] She is depicted as polite, optimistic, extremely kind, and selfless;[8][9] several other characters, including Kyo,[10] Rin,[11] and Hanajima,[12] tell her she needs to look out for her own interests and not shoulder everyone else's burdens. In the original Japanese, Tohru habitually speaks formally (see Honorific speech in Japanese), but not always correctly,[13] a habit she picked up from her father, Katsuya, after he died when she was three, as a way of replacing him in her mother's eyes.[14] Tohru's mother, Kyoko, raised her alone until she died in a car accident shortly after Tohru entered high school, a few months before the start of the story. Tohru repeatedly calls Kyoko the most important person in her life and treasures her photograph;[15] when she falls in love with Kyo she feels guilty of being "unfaithful" to her mother's memory.[16]
In the first half of the series, as Tohru learns about the zodiac curse and its effects on those she loves, she becomes distressed, and when she learns that the dangerous Akito is the"god" of the zodiac, she resolves to break the curse.[17] Only later does she admit that she wants to free Kyo most of all.[18] Despite setbacks, she stubbornly persists in her goal and eventually frees Kyo and her friends.[19] In the last chapter, she begins moving with Kyo to another city so he can continue his martial arts training, and in the final pages they are shown as a loving elderly couple with a granddaughter.[20] Voiced by: Yui Horie (Japanese), Laura Bailey (English)
Kyo Sohma (草摩 夾 Sōma Kyō?)
Fruits Basket - Kyo by Tsuru Anime

Kyo is cursed by the cat, an animal not in the Chinese zodiac but which legend says would have been if it had not been tricked by the rat into missing the induction feast (seeZodiac origin stories).[7] He is depicted as an orange-haired young man who is short-tempered and charismatic, if initially awkward around people; Arisa Uotani once calls him "anger management boy,"[21] and Yuki Sohma expresses envy of his ability to make friends easily.[22] He is also fiercely competitive, and can be easily manipulated into doing things he does not want to by turning it into a competition—especially against Yuki. As the cat, Kyo hates Yuki, the current rat of the zodiac, who he sees as never having to work hard at anything,[21] and has dedicated his life to defeating him. Shortly before the series beginning, Kyo made a bet with Akito: if he defeats Yuki before graduating high school, he would officially be accepted as part of the zodiac; however, if he does not, Kyo would be confined inside the Sohma estate for the rest of his life.[23] Despite many months of strict training, however, Kyo never lands a decent blow on Yuki. Their rivalry distresses Tohru, who likes them both, but she comes to worry even more when they do not fight.[24] The two eventually tell each other, during an argument, they envy as well as despise each other and come to a truce for Tohru's sake.[25]
At the start of the story, Kyo moves into Shigure's house with Yuki and Tohru.[7] When Kyo was young, his mother died in an accident rumored to be suicide over her son's curse, and after his father rejected him, Kyo was taken in by Kazuma Sohma. The two love each other as father and son,[26] but Kazuma insists he continue to live with Shigure because he believes Tohru is helping him open up.[27] Aside from his foster father, however, Kyo runs away from the people who want to help him, because he is ashamed of his true form—a grotesque, foul-smelling, larger version of his zodiac animal—which he turns into when his bone juzu bead bracelet is removed.[26] When Tohru sees his true form, however, she is initially repulsed but follows him to beg him stay with her, which strengthens their bond.[26] However, Kyo also blames himself for the death of Tohru's mother, whom he could have saved at the risk of turning into a cat, and he was shaken by Kyoko's last words, "I'll never forgive you..."[28] As the story progresses, Kyo falls in love with Tohru, but he refuses to subject her to the pain he is convinced he will cause, so when she confesses she loves him, he calls her "delusional."[28] Only when Uotani, Hanajima, and Yuki impress upon him how deeply his rejection hurt Tohru does he get up the courage to accept her, and when he does finally confess to her, his curse lifts—along with the rest of the zodiac.[19] In the last chapter, he and Tohru begin moving out of Shigure's house to another city, where he will study at another dojo in preparation for inheriting Kazuma's, and in the final pages they are shown as a loving couple with a granddaughter.[20] Voiced by: Tomokazu Seki (Japanese), Jerry Jewell (English)
Yuki Sohma (草摩 由希 Sōma Yuki?)

Yuki is the rat of the Chinese zodiac. Yuki is depicted as an attractive, reserved, and accomplished young man with many admirers, but who finds being friendly difficult. When Yuki was young, Akito Sohma kept him isolated and convinced him no one liked him;[29] because of this, Yuki has low self-esteem and feels isolated.[30] He is known as "Prince Yuki" and "Prince Charming" at school, where he has a fan club headed by Motoko Minagawa that tries to "protect" him from other admirers, with the result that Yuki is further isolated,[31]and he is pressured by his popularity to become president of the student council despite his misgivings.[32] Yuki, however, wishes that he could be with people as friends, rather than be admired from afar, and envies both Kyo Sohma's and Kakeru Manabe's easy ways with others.[22][33] He is touched when, faced with the prospect of having her memory of the Sohma family secret erased, Tohru Honda asks that he remain her friend,[34] which no one had asked him before.[35] With Tohru's help Yuki is gradually able to "open the lid" on his feelings, and the summer after she begins living in Shigure's house, Yuki admits to himself that he loves her.[36]
When Yuki was around six or seven years old, he ran away from Akito and was the one who returned Tohru to her mother when she was lost.[37] For that, Yuki has always had fond feelings for Tohru for actually "needing" him.[37] However, he later admits to Manabe that he was looking for a mother-figure and found her in Tohru.[35] As the rat, Yuki despises the current cat, Kyo, despite envying him, and is contemptuous of his attempts to defeat him. Even when he recognizes the true nature of his feelings for Tohru, Yuki is uncomfortable when he recognizes her and Kyo's growing feelings for each other.[38] Yuki becomes attracted to Machi Kuragi, a student council secretary who also had a traumatic childhood,[39]and falls in love with her. When he knows that Kyo will be confessing to Tohru that he loves her, Yuki meets with Machi, and is with her when his curse lifts, whereupon the first thing he does is embrace her.[19] In the last chapter, he gives Machi a key to his new apartment, where he will be living as he attends university.[20] Voiced by: Aya Hisakawa (Japanese),Eric Vale (English).
